Cookie Privacy Policy
The short version
Nova Field Grove sets only two small first-party cookies, and both exist just to run the notice at the bottom of the page. The blog uses no analytics, no advertising or remarketing cookies and no social media plug-ins. This page lists exactly what your browser may store, so you can check it against the cookie settings of your own browser.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. It can remember a choice you made, such as having closed a notice, so the site does not ask you again on every page.
Cookies set by this site
- cookiesDirective - stores the fact that you answered the cookie notice. Lifetime: 365 days. It contains the value 1 and nothing about you.
- cookiesDisclosureCount - counts how many times the notice has been shown to you, so it does not reappear endlessly. Lifetime: one day.
Both are written by the notice script that ships with the blog's pages. They are not shared with anyone and are not used to recognise you across other websites.
What we do not use
There is no analytics service on the blog, so we do not count visitors, track which guides you read, or measure how long you stay. There are no advertising tags, no remarketing audiences and no tracking pixels. If that ever changes, this page and the notice will be updated first.
Content loaded from Google
The blog's typeface comes from Google Fonts, and the contact block near the foot of each page contains an embedded Google Map. When your browser loads them, Google receives your IP address and may store cookies of its own under its own privacy policy; those cookies are not set by us and are not listed above. If you would rather not load them, block third-party content in your browser. The text of every guide stays readable without them.
Your choices
The notice has a single button, "Got it". Because the blog has no optional cookies, there is nothing to accept or refuse; the button simply closes the notice and remembers that you answered. You can delete the two cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can set your browser to refuse cookies altogether; the notice will then reappear on each visit, but nothing on the blog stops working.
Why there is a notice at all
A cookie that only remembers a visitor's own choice is low-risk, but a website is still expected to be open about information that leaves the visitor's browser for another company. The notice therefore does two jobs: it says what the blog stores itself, and it points out that the typeface and the map come from Google. We would rather say this plainly on every page than leave it to a long policy that few people open.
How to see and remove cookies yourself
Every common browser lets you look at the cookies a site has stored. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox, open the site settings from the padlock or tune icon next to the address bar and choose the cookies option; in Safari, open Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. Search for novafieldgrove.com and you should find only the two cookies named above. Delete them whenever you like. If you use a private window, they disappear as soon as the window closes.
Cookies and personal information
The two cookies hold a number and nothing else. They contain no name, email address or phone number, and we cannot link them to messages you send us. Personal information that you give us on purpose, through the contact form or by email, is described in the Privacy Policy, together with your rights to ask for disclosure, correction or deletion.
If you block everything
Blocking all cookies, or blocking Google's content, will not stop you from reading the blog. Without the Google Fonts request your browser falls back to a standard system typeface, so headings look slightly different. Without the Google Map the contact block still shows our address, telephone number and email in plain text, and you can copy them into any map application of your choice. Nothing in the guides depends on a cookie, a login or an embedded service.
When this page changes
We will revise this page before any new cookie is added to the blog, for example if a visitor counter or a newsletter sign-up is ever introduced. The list of cookies above always reflects what the pages do today, and the notice text at the bottom of every page is kept consistent with it.
